Choose from a large selection of variety acts for your next event! Good Times will work with you to create the perfect evening. Are you looking for a speaker? A magic act? An impersonator? Maybe a comedian or hypnotist? Whatever your event needs, Good Times Entertainment Services has you covered.
Good Times Entertainment Services acts as a booking agency for celebrities and other talent and does not give out direct contact information or contact any celebrities on your behalf for matters of any reason, including but not limited to signed memorabilia for auction for example. Clients cannot contact celebrities directly to discuss an upcoming event. Please understand that Good Times does not reply to personal, media or interview requests for actors, celebrities, athletes or acts nor do we coordinate interviews or casting requests of any kind for actors or celebrities.
Understand that actors who are filming a major film project or athletes who are in middle of their playing or playoff season typically do very few speaking engagements or appearances and when they do, the cost reflects the time away from the game or movie set. Retired athletes or retired actors are usually the safest option for clients to book for a motivational seminar or fund-raiser to minimize the chance of last-minute cancellations from other types of talented celebrities (eg. hockey player finds out his team has made it to the Stanley Cup, or actor learns that she has landed a role on a movie set in Hawaii and is heading out the week before she was supposed to appear at your fund-raiser.)
(This section does not apply to “local celebrities” like TV news anchors, local politicians or radio DJs etc.)
The lowest priced national celebrities start around the $10,000 to $15,000 range to make an appearance at an event or to assist in their known capacity. Although not a rule, it is a good idea to book the biggest name that your budget allows since the name is typically what sells out an event or attracts more people and more money.
Across Canada and the U.S., the more popular, well-known names will often command a minimum $50,000, even for charitable events. The bigger name American actors, speakers, athletes and performers have asking fees that start at a minimum of $100,000.
Musical acts like Taylor Swift, Elton John, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and Paul McCartney have minimums starting at $800,000 or more for a private event, depending on details like time, size and location. (Update: March 2013 – Adele is asking over $3M for up to 30 minutes of performing time for weddings.) These acts typically do not work with agencies they do not know and will only book a show with major concert promoters like Live Nation or Anschutz Entertainment Group.
Speakers like Elisabeth Hasselbeck & Bob Dole may ask for speaking fees of $100,000 or more and can request accommodations or private transportation. Clients pay motivational speakers like Tony Robbins & Richard Branson over $200,000 and depending on location and logistics, a private jet may be required to be provided and paid for by the client.
